 | The famous 'cartwheel' pennies and twopences made of 1 ounce (the penny) and two ounces (the twopence) of copper, by Boulton and Watt's Soho foundry (which later became the site of the equally famous firm of W & T Avery). Two-pence coins were only made for general circulation with this date. |
